ANTONIO PECORELLI
Born in 1939 in a small village in Haute Savoie (France) to parents who emigrated from southern Italy (Naples), he followed his father's trade from an early age, an expert decorator of old villas and restorer of frescoes in churches.
The closeness to the colors and techniques used by the parent made him soon become an expert in the pictorial field, with particular attention to the preparation of shades and backgrounds.
Over the years and with great detail, he developed the Belle Epoque through a mannerism whose contents refer to life at the end of the nineteenth century.
Antonio Pecorelli is a painter who is inspired a lot by impressionist aesthetics, his works of art of outdoor life, glimpses of lively streets and delicate landscapes, are pervaded by a subtle nostalgic vein for an irretrievably lost time not yet polluted by neurosis and haste, a past, symbolized by the parks, in which the walk in calm spaces was the pleasant ritual of every day.
Painter of long experience and known in the collectors market, for years always present with his artworks in many art galleries in Italy and abroad.
